Days available
Keep track of the number of days your products have been available in your online store sales channel. Using this number, you can automate e.g. a "New arrivals" collections or flag products as being recently added to your catalog.
This is a simple calculation of how many days have passed since the last time a product was published to your online store sales channel.
The calculation is rounded up to the nearest whole number, so for products just published, the value will be 1. For unpublished products, the metafield will be deleted.
There is a grace period of 7 days between unpublishing a product from the online store sales channel and republishing it. If a product is unpublished and then republished within 7 days, the calculated days will use the original publishing date.
This metafield serves as the basis for upsells of type "New arrivals". If you have active upsells of this type, the offered items are refreshed on an hourly schedule
